It's a British cartoon about a pig and her parents and it's very gentle, no conflict, not that irritating, nothing scary. We all like it. Unlike Mickey Mouse, which only one of us likes, and its not me or India. In one of the Peppa Pig episodes they go to Windy Castle. It's Mr Baby's favorite episode.
Today we went to Carcasonne to visit La Cite, a fortified city with a giant castle in the middle. Mr Baby loved it. It is the first thing we've done here that he loved, he really really loved. He kept saying "I'm so excited to be at the castle."
Well, he was excited because Miss Pony (who you may remember from this post) said she lived in the castle, and Miss Pony is currently his best friend and thought she might find her Mama at the castle. You can see here here, hogging the spotlight....
When you have a three year old you do everything intensely, quickly, dodging meltdowns and trying to accommodate his distressingly short attention span and penchant for lying down on the ground in public places . La Cite is really a full day trip, or maybe a two day trip (they do have a Radisson, after all). But with Mr Baby, we do things fast. We arrived at 2pm, and were on our way home by 5:30.
But we still enjoyed ourselves.
We took the tollway there, but the scenic route home. Both my babies were sleeping so I got to enjoy the little villages, the neon green grass, the endless string of boulangeries and epicieries. It was like driving through a Degas painting.
It was a lovely day. On the way home we stopped at a bakery and picked up some pastries, which I plan on eating tomorrow.
