Barcelona a magical city with a very mellow vibe. So far we've ridden the metro, gone to the aquarium, stared at the buildings, eaten paella and tapas, gone to the park, walked by the ocean, and shopped in the amazing grocery stores and fruit stands.
I love Barcelona.
Once again, I'm learning how to slow down, slow way down. I would like to see all the Gaudi buildings, the Picasso museum, the Miro museum, and then eat at a great restaurant. But three year olds don't really like museums or appreciate architecture, and diners at great restaurants don't really like three year olds.
So instead, I'm learning that you can enjoy things in a very simple way. Staring at the beautiful buildings from across the street.
Spending the day going to the small parks with Mr Baby and then just walking down the main street of Pablo Neu, the neighborhood where we're staying. Enjoying his astonishment at street sweepers and scooters. Being grateful for sunshine after a month of rain. Taking pleasure in buying soap at the pharmacia, and ordering magdalenas and cafe con leche at the cafe.
And waking up every morning still astonished that we we managed to pull this off.
How did you pull this off?? Pretty amazing ladies.
